Dedicated Micros SD32 M60 DVR
Dedicated Micros SD32 M60 enables you to set up a DVR security system that includes up 32 surveillance cameras. The SD32 M60 is a dedicated DVR, having 3 USB ports and up to 1.5 TB internal storage space it is a versatile system. If you choose to attach 32 cameras to the DVR the storage space will be a welcome addition. Your storage requirements will be even more demanding if your 32 cameras record video footage 24 hours a day. The SD32 M60 has the capacity to cope with such demands as you can attach external SATA hard drives to the DVR. Further storage hardware can be attached to the DVR through its USB ports and it has an internal CD writer.
The SD32 M60 has a dedicated operating system that can be viewed on the monitor connected to it or through the Internet. As you would expect the DVR has its own dedicated remote control, you also have the option for a larger control interface. A touch keyboard can be connected to the DVR through its RJ12 connector, you can also control PTZ cameras attached to it with an optional joystick. The SD32 M60 uses JPEG and MPEG-4 video compression and can operate in PAL and NTSC modes. You can use this DVR to serve as the main controller of your security system or you can attach it do an existing PC on the same network. Connecting the DVR to a PC requires the installation of NetVU, the software is included with the DVR.
You can jump to specific footage recorded by the digital video recorder with its ‘text support’ feature. Text support enables you to search for footage by entering a keyword or number into the SD32 M60. The DVR then finds footage that contains the number or keyword you entered, very useful if a specific item recorded by the system goes missing. The limitation with the text support feature is that it can only be used with two of the cameras attached to the system. You can also search for specific video footage by entering the time and date of a recorded event.
The SD32 M60 can notify you by email when critical events occur such as alarm activation or when the system detects motion. You also receive notification by email if a camera connected to the digital video recorder fails. Numerous viewing options are built in to the DVR, when connected to a monitor you can view camera footage full screen or by ‘picture in picture’. The system also has ‘quad’ and ‘multi screen’ viewing capabilities without the need for additional hardware.
