The Laser Shield wireless alarm system offers you a low cost means of protecting your premises with the use of motion sensors. One thing that can be said is the Laser Shield alarm system is ‘loud’ and will catch anyone’s attention if it should be triggered. There is a good chance the alarm system will scare off an intruder when triggered as the sound produces up to 105 decibels.

Laser Shield have a growing number of accessories for their alarms systems, this is the starter kit and it consists of the siren which plugs into a standard electricity socket and one wireless motion sensor. The motion sensor is suitable for detecting motion in one room; additional units are low priced and up to 11 of these can be connected to the alarm.

At maximum the motion sensor can detect movement at a rage of up to 35 feet within a 110-degree pattern in front of the device. The sensor included with the alarm system can be used at a range of up to 150 feet away from the main unit. Each sensor requires a power source but they also have a backup battery that ensures the unit remains active for up to 12 hours if your premises should experience a power loss.

A panic button is built into each sensor that be used to activate the alarm system at times of emergency. The alarm system reports its status verbally and will tell you whether the system is armed or disarmed. Once you arm the device you have sixty seconds to vacate your protected area, when you re-enter the area in question you have 20 seconds to disarm the system before the alarm is triggered.

You can control the functions of the alarm system remotely by making a call through your telephone. Through your telephone you can arm or disarm the alarm system and this feature can also be used to listen in on activities on your premises with the use of a microphone.

If you have no alarm system on your premises and wish to install one that has motion sensing capabilities the Skylink ML-100 AAA security alarm may be worth considering. The system can alert you through your mobile if there is a security breach and it also has a built in siren. The system includes three sensors and can accommodate more if you want multiple rooms on your premises to be protected.

The main component of the Skylink alarm system is the ML-001 control panel, this is the device that accommodates the sensors and other hardware included. You can program the control panel with up to five telephone numbers that can be dialled when motion is detected by the system. The control panel is wall mountable and you can program it to turn electronics on and off to make your premises appear occupied if you are away.

All sensors attached to the control panel are constantly monitored and it will alert you if it looses communication with a sensor. You have the option to receive alerts when a sensor is triggered without triggering the systems alarm, this can prove useful for monitoring activity outdoors. An AC mains adapter is included to power the control panel and it also has rechargeable battery that kicks in automatically if your premises should experience a power outage.

A Skylink PS-101 AAA motion sensor is included with the system, this has a motion detection range of 110 degrees and can detect objects within a 40 foot range. The sensitivity of the sensor is adjustable, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and is also wireless. The two WD-101 sensors included with the alarm system are designed to protect doors and windows on your premises, these are also wireless and operate on batteries.

A key chain remote is included with the alarm system that can be used to control its functions from a distance. If you don’t have experience with installing a wired alarm system on your premises the Skylink security alarm is a good choice. The system is very easy to set up and could prove instrumental in protecting your property.

Here we have an alarm system that is suitable for both homes and business owners, the Skylink SC-1000 has an extensive control panel and can accommodate up to 30 alarm sensor devices. The alarm system is a low cost security option and is ideal for letting you know when an intruder enters an area that is off limits, you can use the alarm system in conjunction with a variety of security recorders in order to trigger the device to record.

The Skylink alarm system operates wirelessly and can be used in conjunction with numerous alarm devices including smoke and sensor alarms. Skylink have created an alarm system that provides you with peace of mind as you can program the device to ring you on your telephone when an alarm has been activated. There are other security systems that can contact your local Police station when an attached alarm is activated, the only problem with these systems is the bill you receive for their operation and possible false alarms.

The Skylink alarm system is the next best alternative to alerting the authorities straight away when a system alarm is activated, there are no monthly fees involved to use the device continually. You can set up the system to contact any telephone number you want so you can still program in the number of your local authorities if you wish.

The alarm system can actually be programmed with up to nine different numbers giving you quite a lot of choice when it comes to who it will contact, if you have a business you can program the alarm system to notify an employee, if you want to use the alarm to secure your home you can program it to contact a close friend or a member of your family.

Both numbers and letters are included on the keypad built into the alarms systems security control panel, while the panel has three letters they can’t be used as part of the security codes but you can use three or more digits. The keypad buttons have a light at their rear and you can see what buttons are being depressed clearly in dark conditions, the system also emits a chime whenever you press one of the buttons on its keypad.

The emergency dialler also has a back lit keypad and you can program this to play a specific message that can be heard by individuals it contacts when an alarm is activated. The length of the message you can program into the system is relatively short at 40 seconds but it should be enough to relay important information or suggestions. The message you program into the system is repeated multiple times and this should prove useful if the person listening to what is being said has any problems with their hearing.

The SC-1000 consists of two devices with keypads those being the emergency dialler and the control panel, the system also includes a motion sensor. The alarm system also includes two sensors that can be situated by doors or windows, a keychain transmitter and cabling for connecting the system to your telephone line.
